Product Care & Safety Information

WAX MELTS & BURNERS

Wax melts should only be used in appropriate wax melt burners. Always read the safety information provided with your burner prior to use.

ALL OUR ELECTRIC AND TEA LIGHT BURNERS / WARMERS COME FROM LEADING & REPUTABLE SUPPLIERS AND WE FOLLOW THEIR GUIDANCE ON THE PRODUCTS.

Direction for Use

• Place the wax melt burner on a level, flat, cool, heat resistant surface away from draughts, other heat sources and flammable objects. If used on a non-heat resistant surface damage may occur if the wax melt burner is used without a protective plate, tray or similar product.

• Position the wax melt segment on the top bowl of the wax melt burner.

• Insert a tea-light in the bottom base of the wax melt burner. Please make sure the tealight used is no more than a 4 hour burn time – unless otherwise stated.

• Allow the heat of the tea-light to melt the wax and fragrance will release into the room. The wax melt burner will become hot while in use, do not touch while in use, heated wax can cause burns. Allow the burner to cool completely before touching or moving.

• Do not allow the pool of wax to completely evaporate so the top bowl becomes dry whilst a tea-light is still lit. This could cause the wax melt burner to scorch and (or) smoke.

• Let the wax melt burner completely cool before re-use.

• DO NOT USE METAL OBJECTS TO CLEAN OUT THE WAX. DO NOT APPLY EXCESSIVE PRESSURE WHEN CLEANING OR REMOVING WAX. THIS MAY CRACK AND DAMAGE THE BURNER.

Safety Information

Failure to follow these instructions could result in a fire hazard.

  • Store in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight
  • Pop the wax out of the plastic pot
  • Cut or snap to desired size to suit burner
    • Do not overfill as this could cause the burner to overflow

•Never leave a burner unattended when in use or move it when lit.

• Remove all packaging before use.

• Only use with a good quality tea-light. Do not use with a maxi tea-light, votive or other candle.

• Keep the Wax Melt Burner and tea-light out of the reach of children and pets.

• Do not burn the tea-light or leave the wax melt burner on or near anything that can catch fire.

• Keep foreign objects out of the wax pool.

• Extinguish the tea-light if the flame becomes enlarged, makes contact with the wax melt burner, or begins to smoke.

  • When you're ready to change your wax, you can do any of the following:

Soak up the melted wax with cotton balls or if the wax has hardened, light a tealight in the burner for 1 minute and the hardened wax will pop out in one piece. Do not use metal or sharp objects to clean out wax as this may crack or damage the burner or cause injury.

Electric Burners & Aroma Lamps

  • Make sure you are placing your burner in a safe location, with a mat under to protect from scorching surfaces
  • Do not burn for long periods of time as this can overheat the electrics (maximum 4hrs)
  • Maintain and clean your burner on a regular basis
  • Always keep away from children and pets

Switching on and off

When switching on your electric burner/aroma lamp on a touch sensitive model, do not tap it to the highest setting quickly. Do this slowly waiting a few seconds between each tap. This will prevent the bulb blowing from a surge of electricity.

Do not turn your burner off straight at the socket, make sure you tap it off first, then switch off at the plug. Visa versa when turning on.

Removing and/or changing bulbs

When removing the bulbs, they push in and pull out. They do not need to be screwed.

When changing the bulb, please try to avoid skin contact with the bulb as the oil in your skin can shorten the life of the bulb.

Faults

In the unlikely event that your electric burner/aroma lamp is faulty, please make us aware in the first instance.

We can offer a full refund up to 30 days of your purchase if you return the item. If it were to become faulty after 30 days, we can offer an exchange or credit note once it has been returned to us.

We cannot offer a refund or exchange on accidental damage, for instance, if the wax has been removed with a sharp object causing the glass to break.

Our policies reflect our suppliers.

Candles

  • Store in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight
  • Always keep your wick trimmed to 0.5cm, to avoid any excessive flames
  • Keep your candle on a heat proof mat or surface that won’t get scorched
  • Never use the candle in an area where there is a draught as this can give it an uneven burn, and cause a potential fire hazard to items around it
  • Make sure on each burn you are allowing the wax to fully pool to the edge of the jar to avoid any tunnel burning
  • Do not allow the candle to burn for more than 3 hours at a time, excessive heat to the jar could cause this to crack or smash
  • Do not allow the candle to burn until there is nothing left in the jar, leave a small amount of wax in the bottom as the excessive heat to the jar could cause this to crack or smash
  • Always keep away from children and pets
  • Do not leave burning unattended

Reed Diffusers

  • Unscrew the neck cap on the diffuser, and shake well
  • Remove the clear bung
  • Re-screw the neck cap back into position
  • Add the reeds, and distribute evenly amongst the jar
  • Flip reeds a couple of times within the first 24 hours to allow the reed to fully saturate
  • Allow 48 hours for the fragrance to fully distribute throughout
  • Do not allow the reeds to rest against any surfaces, walls or products
  • If spillages occur, clean immediately
  • Do not place the diffuser onto polished, painted, plastic or leather surfaces or on electrical equipment as accidental spillage may cause damage to certain materials
  • Flammable solution, do not light reeds or ingest
  • Keep out of reach from children and pets
